Sunday was a day of firsts for Oakland Raiders quarterback Matt McGloin.

He threw for a touchdown on his first pass of the day — in his first NFL start — and helped deliver the Raiders their first victory in the month of November.

McGloin would end up tossing a second and third touchdown pass as the Raiders beat the Houston Texans 28-23. As a result, the undrafted rookie has been nominated for his first NFL Rookie of the Week award.

Fans can vote for McGloin until Friday. In the meantime, Raiders coach Dennis Allen will have to decide whether or not to commit to him as the starter going forward.

Running back Rashad Jennings is also up for an award at NFL.com. He ran for a career-high 150 yards and a touchdown.

Quarterback Terrelle Pryor (knee) and running back Darren McFadden (hamstring) are recovering from injuries. The recent performance of their backups could mean less playing time for both of them when they return.
