Kap and the 49ers’ ‘Smack-Cam’

Aug 30, 2013, 1:46 PM PDT

There’s smack talk and then there’s this. The San Francisco 49ers were having fun after a 41-6 smackdown of the San Diego Chargers and proceeded to smack each other.

The “Smack-Cam” was posted on Colin Kaepernick’s Instagram page and referenced in Field of Links this morning, but we decided it deserved its own post.

Just days after creeping out his teammates with a Chucky Doll, Vernon Davis was caught off guard by the last smack.

You can watch the video by clicking below. It’s not the knuckle punt, but it’ll do.

It was Kaepernick’s first Instagram video and as of posting this, it has 37,000 likes. Maybe there will be more where that came from.

It turns out the “Smack-cam” is a popular trend online these days. Recently, the rival NFC West St. Louis Rams went nuts with the concept. They even introduced foreign objects. Check out these Vine videos.
